On a hill overlooking Nashville, the Adventure Science Center presents a plethora of engaging educational exhibits for the young and old. From a detailed exploration of human biology to the science behind the sound of music, the center offers inspiring experiences for the whole family.
With over 175 hands-on exhibits, the Adventure Science Center can open up a world of new and exciting information for guests of all ages. Spanning 44,000 acres, the various rooms, programs, demonstrations, and displays provide a unique insight into fields like astronomy, biology, earth science, energy, physics, sound, and weather.
The center hosts a revolving door of traveling and seasonal exhibits, while it also maintains a list of permanent features to enrich minds all year-round. In the Innovation Incubator, guests can experiment in a lab filled with state-of-the-art technology like laser cutting, vinyl cutting, and 3D printing. At the Surge of a Tsunami tank, you can turn a wheel to see how underwater seismic movements can have a major impact on the surface. For an inside look at the human body, the BodyQuest takes guests on a journey through the complex inner workings of various organs and biological systems.
In the bilingual SoundBox, visitors can learn the psychics behind sound through various hands-on applications, from conducting the Nashville Symphony to using your own voice. Fitting for a Nashville-based venue, the SoundBox also allows guests to explore the science of harmony, rhythm, and other musical aspects.
The Sudekum Planetarium
While at the Adventure Science Center, you can visit the cutting-edge planetarium for a variety of programs and events. Overhead, a massive screen dome can accommodate laser shows, star charts, and other fascinating sights, and the space can also host live concerts, Yoga Under the Stars, and more. They also present sensory-friendly shows if you have a heightened sensitivity to light or sound.

The Adventure Science Center is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults ages 13-64 is $18. Admission for children ages 2-12 is $14. If you sign up for membership at the center, admission is free. There are also special rates for classes and other groups.
