The music never stops here in Nashville, and this month, a scenic green space just outside the city will host a talent-packed festival that celebrates Southern artists and community. Make plans to go on a sonic journey at the 2019 Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival! Headliners like Keith Urban and Foo Fighters will share a the weekend with other acclaimed acts across genres, from Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats to the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

When and Where

The festival will be held at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm on September 21 and 22. The fun begins at 10 a.m. that Saturday. The Park at Harlinsdale is located at 239 Franklin Road, Franklin, Tennessee 37064.

A Unique Festival Experience

Throughout the weekend, you may relax in the hammocks suspended in the trees while decorative garlands flutter overhead in the breeze. You can enjoy the shade of shacks and sheds, and take a breather in the colorful chairs found across the grounds. A rustic road sign in the middle of it all points in many directions, and each destination promises something exciting.

More than Music

In addition to the incredible talent on stage, the festival will present pilgrims with all kinds of other amusements, attractions, and experiences. The organizers have designed special events that help illustrate the deep roots that intertwine music and other facets of Southern culture. The Harlinsdale Farm’s historic barn will serve as the festival’s Art Barn, a gallery filled with the works of various artists. If you see something you love, remember that the art is for sale! As you browse, take a moment to consider that this storied structure was once the home of Midnight Sun and other noteworthy equines.

Antique Archeology has assembled a fascinating collection of music history artifacts for the American Music Triangle Experience. Here, you’ll see relics from the South’s rich musical history, and you’ll hear speakers recount stories and fascinating facts about days gone by. You can also explore the tents of the Makers Village to see craft goods by regional artisans.

Food and Drink

More than 40 regional purveyors will be present to serve up a wide variety of dishes, so there’s bound to be something for everyone. You can also explore the Farm-to-Turntable food truck park, a gathering of mobile vendors along with shaded picnic tables. There will also be a diverse range of wines, spirits, and brews to quench your thirst, plus plenty of non-alcoholic beverages.
